Speciality Beers tend to embrace all types of beer that contain a non-core brewing ingredient at the heart of the recipe intended to impart a distinctive and discernible flavour or character. Examples could be ginger, honey, various fruits, etc., but Speciality Beers also cover wheat beers and lager-style ales, as well as those beers that use smoked malt, which is a distinctive taste not to everyone’s liking. At this festival, our Speciality range spans lager, whisky barrel-aged, rosehip, rhubarb, and Belgian-, Czech- and German-style ales to name but a few, so there’s likely to be an ale for everyone just within this style category.
