Mild

Description Milds tend to be ales of low alcoholic strength and hop content, producing a more rounded flavour that is less bitter on the palate and on the nose that more highly-hopped bitters. The vast majority of milds are darker in colour than bitters, due to the use of a higher roasted malt and/or caramel malt content. There are considerable variations in mild styles, colours and alcohol strength, and this festival is offering milds between 3.5%-6%, coming from as far as Cornwall and the Orkney Islands.
